The goal of the Special Interest Group is to provide leadership and support for individuals charged with developing and managing telepathology systems. Though telepathology has attracted great interest in the past ten years, implementation of effective systems has been difficult. Now, with several system running and with LIS vendors beginning to include imaging in their standard modules, the next several years will be important for developing consensus on issues such as:
